Prix Beton : Concrete price 2025

In 2025, the prestigious concrete award recognized outstanding projects in three different categories. Only projects completed in the period from January 1, 2020 to December 1, 2024 were considered. A total of three winners were recognized. This prize is awarded by Betonsuisse and recognizes outstanding achievements in the following areas

Building construction
Extension, new construction, renovation, conversion, change of use
Infrastructure construction
Buildings for mobility, water, protective structures, energy and communication
Special prize
Special prize for a building that uses concrete as a building material in a particularly surprising, technically innovative or creative way.

Distribution of prize money
The BETONPREIS is endowed with a total of CHF 70,000, which is distributed among the categories as follows:

Building construction: CHF 30,000
Infrastructure construction: CHF 30,000
Special prize: CHF 10,000

Evaluation criterion

How and where is concrete best used? What are the new, material-specific contributions or combinations with other building materials? We are looking for outstanding buildings from the fields of architecture and civil engineering that are characterized by their open, interdisciplinary and appropriate approach to the use of concrete. Particular attention is paid to a coherent approach to the location, the design and spatial concept, a well thought-out supporting structure and sustainability in a comprehensive sense.
